A tract of land in Epsom the same being a part of the lot #5, being one of the home lots so called and adjoining on the northwesterly side to land of Henry C. Shapley, and also a part of the land that Col. John McClary sold to Amos Morrill off Lot No. 16, said tract to have its beginning at the northeasterly end of said lot No. 5 and then to run southwesterly as said lot runs to the main road carrying such a width as will contain 35 acres exclusive of one quarter of an acre owned by William Tucker where the said Tucker now lives. - William Locke.

Witnesseth that whereas William Locke of Epsom yeoman, deeded this day to John Locke of the same Epsom, yeoman, 35 acres of land the same a part of two of the home lots in said town, viz. No. 5 and 16 adjoining to land owned by Henry C. Shapley to being at the northeasterly end of lot No. 5 and to run southwesterly to the main road carrying a width sufficient to contain 35 acres exclusive of one quarter of an acre owned by William Tucker…the said John Locke doth by these presents and in consideration of said deed release and quit claim, unto the said William Locke for and during the term of his natural live the premises before mentioned to him the said William Locke and Abigail Locke his wife during the term of their natural lives. - John Locke.
