He was married and had, judging from 1820 census 1 son and three daughters. He did not live with his wife. The death date in the records of J. Dolbeer gives Apr. 28, 1861 the death of Mr. Moses Locke. There is a Moses Locke listed as being on the Town Poor Farm in Epsom, NH in 1852.

Was educated in Montreal, married and went to New York to educate his children. He was a sea captain out of New York and later came back to Epsom, NH.

May have worked as a conectioner for his step father in Montreal about 1819. See John B. Girard.

Death recorded in the "Brooklyn Eagle" and in the "New York Evening Post," two newspapers form New York in the United States. "Monday. Apr. 7, Capt. Moses P. Lock. Greenwood Cemetery" Printed Tuesday April 8, 1856.
