The book of Dow : genealogical memoirs of the descendants of Henry Dow 1637, Thomas Dow 1639 and others of the name, immigrants - page 980, is unable to complete this family. Looking at NH Vital records has put it together. The Book of Dow gives Samuel and Eliza 3 children, Malvina, Jacob and Samuel (1846) and cannot account for Joseph, Samuel, William, probably because of the marriage date, which is probably incorrect (1840) as the intention was filed 1835, which is probably closer to the actual date of marriage.
Parentage of this Samuel still unknown.
A Samuel appears twice, the first probably having died young.

NHVR Marriage record gives April 3, 1840, but date is probably an error. The record also states the marriage intention was filed October 26, 1835. It is highly unlikely that the marriage was 5 years later than the intention, as most marriages were as soon as a week after the intention is filed. This would also allow for the births of the children.
Record gives Samuel Dow to Eliza Gale, both residing Concord, NH, married Barnstead, NH by Benjamin Hodgdon, Justice of the Peace.
