[There appears to be an error in the deed of Tabitha Barnard to Titus Philbrick. As in many cases, a prior deed is copied verbatum, as is the case here when Thomas Blake sold this lot to Tabitha Barnard as in the deed above. There appears to be no relationship between Thomas and Tabitha having the same father. The only Tabitha Barnard is the Tabitha Colby who married Jonathan Barnard and resided Amesbury, MA, she was born Sept. 20, 1705, married Capt. Jonathan Barnard Oct. 6, 1725, and died May 19, 1787, Amesbury, age 83, buried in Union Cemetery, Amesbury, MA. She has other deeds at Rockingham County.]
From "Decendants of Jasper Blake" Born Hampton, Oct. 23, 1724, bp Greenland, 1724. resided Epsom and prob Epping, NH., went to Chcihester, NH, father John deeded house and 50 acres to Thomas Oct. 11, 1759; bought pew at Epsom Chucrch 1764: was highway surveyor in Epsom 1761. prob removed to Epping by Mar. 1782; signed petition in Epsom to abate taxes June 24, 1762; Selectman Epsom 1759, 1760; Town History of Campton or Thornton has Thomas living there in 1748 as one of grantees; he married on Sept. 1, 1748 at Hampton Falls Church Hannah Dearborn, dau John Dearborn and Anna Sanborn, b. Dec. 3, 1730 Hampton. NOTE: (PD) says that Thoms Blake m. 2nd Apr. 24, 1755 to Ruth Dearborn, but she m. to Dearborn Blake on that date.
