Epsom Historical Association held a meeting at the Epsom Public
Library, Sunday afternoon at 2 pm. Th program was about life in
Epsom during the 1930' and 1940's as remembered by a panel consisting
(as pictured left to right) Phil Yeaton, Charlie Yeaton, Glenna
Nutter and Ed Nutter. The nearly 20 members in attendance contributed
with additional memories and stories, including such items as
the death of President Roosevelt, the attack on Pearl Harbor,
the 1936 flood an 1938 hurricane. The panel also reflected on
life on the farm, one room schools and recreational activities
of the period.
A display of photos and town reports contributed to the atmosphere
of the program, which was followed by refreshments.
