"On 7 May 1771 'Richard Yeaton of Newcastle, mariner and Marrgaret, my wife for 18 (pounds) sold to Samuel Cutt of Portsmouth, merchant, forty acres of land lying in the Town of Epsom, being eighteen acres of land lying in the fifty-first lot, known by the name of John Yeaton's, also twenty-two acres 'in the seventy lott [sic] known by the name of Barnabus Crusey, being fourth part of Crusey's lott."
"Epsom was established on 18 May 1727 and land grants were given out to the inhabitants of Rye, Greenland, and Newcastle. Both John Yeaton and Barnabus Crucey appeared as proprietors of Epsom, John owning lot #51, in the second range on November 9, 1732. There can be no mistake that this Richard was the son of John and that he was the man who married Margaret Crucey."
