General:

He probably studied medicine with his father -in- law. First settled in Pembroke, where he and his wife Sarah sold 30 acres of land to Benjamin Jenkins in 1763. (It was later owned by Moses Osgood by 1773) . He bought land in Epsom, NH, 1767 and sold it June 20, 1768. In 1770 he settled in Gorham, Maine. He is mentioned by Jonathan Curtiss in his sketch of the early history of the Town of Epsom, NH, as the first physician in the town, followed by Obadiah Williams and John S. Osborn.
