On Wednesday, July 25, after an illness of several weeks, Albion N. Ambrose, 63 years, passed from earthly life to the Great Beyond. Mr. Ambrose was born in Deerfield, the son of Byron and Flora (Watson) Ambrose. Twenty years ago he purchased a farm in Epsom where he had since resided and by his energetic work and true loyalty to his family, won the respect of all his neighbors who will miss his cheerful presence in the community. Mr. Ambrose is survived by his widow and six children, Mrs. Gertrude Kelley, Frank E. Ambrose, Forrest E. Ambrose, who resides in Concord, Watson T. Ambrose, Alice F. Ambrose and Hattie E. Ambrose, also by nine grandchildren, two brothers, William and Granville Ambrose of Deerfield, and two sisters, Mrs. Ella Quimby of Beverly, Mass., and Mrs. Marjorie Chandler of Arlington, Mass.
The funeral was held on Friday afternoon at the home with a large attendance. Rev. Emmet Russell, pastor of the Epsom Baptist Church, officiated as clergyman. Mrs. Eva Lawrence Cox rendered vocal selections. Members of the Gossville Council, Junior Order of Mechanics conducted the burial service of their order. The bearers were John W. Cox, Edwin L. Bunker, Harry G. Hager and Justin T. Stevens from the Men's Bible Class of which the deceased was an interested member and of the Baptist church. Burial was in the family lot at McClary Cemetery. C.R. Bickford of Northwood was furnishing undertaker.

Arlene F. Riley, 90, of Pittsfield, formerly of Concord, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at Epsom Health Care Center following a period of declining health.
Arlene was born in Epsom, a daughter of Watson T. and Helen (Ordway) Ambrose. She attended local schools and graduated from Pembroke Academy Class of 1940. She was a loving a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles and scrabble. She loved playing card games with her family and whether she won or lost, she always did it with grace.
Arlene was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Donald W. Riley in 2004. She was also predeceased by a grandson, Trent Riley in 2002 and four sisters.
