Placement of this family is a little tentative. Both Ebenezer and his brother Capt. James had sons named James. Capt. James does not mention son James, nor son William in his will. Ebenezer's son James named a daughter Margaret after his other, and is seen in many Greenland deeds, including one with named brothers Bracket, Ebenezer, and John.

In the name of God amen the fifth day of March in the year of our Lord 1752, I James Johnson of Greenland in the Province of New Hampshire in New England, gentleman or yeaoman being sick and weak in body ---
Itme I give and bequeath to Ann my dearly beloved wife over and above her thirds of my whole estate during her life the sum of one pound to be paid her in convenient time after my decease by my executorss hereafter named, equally between them also the household goods she brought with her and linning forever
Item - I give unto my son Samuel Johnson of said Greenland husbandman, and to his heirs or heir lawfully begotten by his body the one hald of my estate, both real and personal, excpet my right at Epsom and in case my said son Samuel shall decease without lawful issue, my will is that Margaret, the wife of my said son Samuel shall have the one half of the income of the said half of my estate during her natural life (and the other half of income of profit of said half of my estate shall be to to the use of my son in law Thomas Sherburne and his heirs and assigns, and the whole of said half of my estate in case of my said son Samuel's deceasing without lawful issue I will return to the right and property of my said son in law Thomas Sherburne, his heirs and assigns forever). My said son Samuel paying unto my daughter Elizabeth Jones one hundred pounds old tenor to the heirs of James Jones and my said daughter Elisabeth and fifty pounds old tenor to Mary Johnson, the wife of Bracket Johnson within four years after my decease.
Item - I give unto my son in law Thomas Sherburne of said Greenland and his wife Sarah and their heirs forever the one half of my estate both real and personal except my right at Epsom (he or she paying unto my daughter Elizabeth Jones the wife of James Jones of Portsmouth, or her heirs the sum of one hundred pounds old tenor and fifty pounds old tenor to Mary Johnson the wife of Bracket Johnson within four years after my decease) and the whole of my estate except my right in Epsom in case my said son Samuel shall decease without lawful issue, said Thomas and Sarah Sherburne paying the whole of said legacies and my debts and funereal charges.
Item - I give unto my son in law Bracket Johnson and his wife Mary and their heirs the sum of one hundred pounds money old tenor to be paid within four years after my decease by my executros hereafter names and the whole of my right of land in the township of Epsom in New Hampshire aforesaid.
Item - I give unto my son in law James Jones of Portsmouth aforesaid, cordwainer, and his wife Elizabeth and their heirs the sum of two hundred pounds in money old tenor to be paid them by my executors hereafter named within four years after my decease.
And I constitute make and ordain my said son Samuel Johnson and my son in law Thomas Sherburne, executors of this my last will and testatment and I do hhereby utterly disallow, revoke and dusannul all and every other former testatments, wills and legacies, bequests and executors by me before this time named willed and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament -- in witness whereof I the said James Johnson have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
