Born Aug. 24, 1860 in Epsom, NH., he married in Lowell, Mass., Sept. 2, 1886, Elizabeth Knight Nutt, born Aug. 25, 1860, at Rockport, town of Camden, ME., daughter of David James and Caroline Elizabeth [Clark] Nutt. He lived at his home in Epsom until 18 years of age, when he started for Lowell, to "make his fortune." Fortune has, in a degree, been kind to him; nevertheless, entering into the emply of John Tripp in the roller covering business, a business connected with the cotton textile industry, he had in the end become owner of the entire business.

General Notes: Husband - Edward Harvey Nutter

EPSOM \endash Edward H. Nutter, 90, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016, at Concord Hospital. He had been ill for some time.

He was born in Epsom on Aug. 10, 1926, to Eleanora (Chesley) Nutter and Lewis Nutter. A graduate of Pembroke Academy and later UNH, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II where he developed his interest in radio. This led to a long and varied career working with AT&T, Philco, IBM and Xerox.

In the 1960's he formed a company in Rochester, N.Y., Computer Consoles, which would grow to over 1500 employees, developing information retrieval systems for the telecommunications industry. His interest in technology led him to becoming president of FX Systmes, of Kingston, N.Y., where he developed components for NASA's space shuttle program.

For many years he maintained homes in New York and Epsom. During his retirement he served in the New Hampshire State Legislature as an advocate for education.

He was a philanthropist who supported numerous charitable and educational causes. In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavors, he was an experienced traveler and had seen much of the world and was always planning his next trip.

General Notes: Wife - Glenna Winifred Yeaton

Glenna Yeaton Nutter of Epsom passed away Friday, November 21 at Concord Hospital.

She was born February 27, 1929 in Concord. She is survived by her husband, Edward, and her two sons, Bryan and Douglas, and her three grandaughters, Mitra, Parmida and Makisa, and her brothers Dana Yeaton of Epsom and David Yeaton of Sanbornton, and many neices and nephews.

Glenna attended a one room schoolhouse in Epsom and then went to Pembroke Academy. She attended Keene State College and completed her degree in language at U.N.H. She would go on to teach French and Latin. Also, she taught 2nd grade. For many years she taught yoga and fitness classes in Epsom, Deerfield and Strafford. When on the board of the Visiting Nurses Association, Glenna helped plan the Hospice House and was very proud of that fact. Glenna was a founding member of the Seacoast Herb Society and an active member of the Strafford Garden Club. She was a Master Gardener, having graduated from the first class at U.N.H. Her hobby was gardening. She was also a long-time member of the Valley Artisans.

Glenna traveled throughout the world to China, Singapore, Thailand, New Zealand, Venezuela, Mexico, Costa Rica, Canada, and most of the western Europe countries. She lived for a year in France and was especially fond of Provence region of southern France.
