From the Libbey Family in America p. 138 - He went to Epsom, NH at an early age and served his time with a Mr. Burbank, from whom he received on coming of age, one hundred acres of land adjoining the Deerfield line. He settled on that land and lived there until his children were grown up, when he lost his property by misfortue and was obliged to give up his homestead. Twenty years later it was repurchased by Michael M. Libbey. The remaining years of his life were spent in Allenstown whre his wife died in 1835 and he March 1843.

Jethro Libbey, Ebenezer Libbey and Richard Libbey, all of Epsom, to Ephraim Eastman of Deerfield, land in Epsom being the whole of the lot 7 in the first range excepting about 3 acres set off to Benjamin Moody by virtue of an execution in favor of him against the said Jethro Libbey on April 11, 1809.

"Abraham Libbey born in Hampton, NH, about 1688; married 14 Jan. 1713, Sabina Philbrick, daughter of Joseph and Tryphene Philbrick, of Hampton.
He was a farmer. He lived in Hampton until 1718 or 19, and then moved to Portsmouth, onto a farm which he had purchased. There he abode until the spring of 1757, when he moved to North Hampton. Within a year he moved to Exeter, where he lived two or three years, near the 'old pickpocket mill.' Thence he moved to Epsom, NH, where he died in the spring of 1767. His wife died probably before he left Portsmouth."
