Notes
General:
According to NHVR record of death his father was "Ellic Brown" and his previous residence was Epsom, NH. As he died 1903, and lived in Pembroke 60 years, that would have him leaving Epsom, NH in 1843 at age 18. This would explain why he is not in the 1850 census of Epsom, NH.
He was widowed at time of death.
NHVR record also gives father's place of birth as Rye, NH. Could stand futher proof, though the History of Canterbury gives us another son of Eleck not found in Epsom, NH records.
