According to the "Edgerly and Allied Families" typescript of Edwin L. Edgerly, p.32:
Nathaniel (Edgerly) married at Northwood, NH 31 Dec. 1818, Betsey Boynton; b. Northampton, Mass. 4 Sept. 1794; d. Chichester (NH) 6 Sept. 1875; dau. John Boynton of Northampton, Mass. The author must have talked to the family directly as I have not found any vital record for the marriage, and no vital record for her birth. Her death record (NHVR) gives only her date of death and age, no parents given, nor place of birth.

My late mother did the research, and placed her parents as John Boynton and Polly Smith. It was based on "The Boynton Family" published 1897, p. 255, John Boynton m. Polly Smith. Children: i. Betsey; ii. Nancy. It was this Betsey she had as the wife of Nathaniel Edgerly. In looking at the burials in the 'Boynton Yard' - Find a Grave, it appears this was born 1782, too young to have a daughter Betsey born 1794. There is no reference to any Edgerly marriage in the Boynton genealogy.
