General:

EPSOM - Carolyn Reams Thomas, 92, died Friday at Epsom Manor.
She was born in Abilene, Texas, the daughter of Walter and Olive (Mann) Reams. She was the first child born on that settlement.
She traveled all over the country before moving to Epsom in 1951.
She worked for many years as a clerk, and her last and favorite job was working in the State House Annex.
Thomas was an active member of the Epsom Bible Church, singing in the choir and playing piano. She was the primary facilitator behind the merging of the Word of Life and Epsom Baptist churches to form the Epsom Bible Church.
She was involved in the Ladies Missionary Society of Epsom for many years. She was also a two-time past president of the Epsom PTA.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Hiram Thomas of Epsom; two sons, Ted Thomas of Northwood and Winfred Thomas of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Ruth Marden of Epsom and Dorothia Cullen of Lake Placid, Fla.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A son, Jeffrey Thomas, died in 1996.
Calling hours will not be held.
A celebration of her life will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Epsom Bible Church. The Rev. John Spring, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family at McClary Cemetery.
