Tina Marie Batchelder, 46, passed away suddenly Friday, December 14, 2012 at Dartmouth Memorial Hospital after a tragic fall. She was well-known around the communities of Penacook, Boscawen, and West Concord, for the day-long walks she took with her dog, Hank.
Tina was born January 16, 1966 in Boston. Her parents were the late Harvey and Arlene Batchelder. She is survived by her brother Stephen Batchelder and his wife Laureen.
Tina grew up in the Epsom, Northwood, and Chichester areas. She attended school in Newington and graduated from Concord High School in 1985. She enjoyed camping with her father, who was a member of the Gunstock Travelers Camping Club. She had hobbies such as painting ceramics and latchhooking.
Tina lovingly cared for her parents in their last years, and they lovingly cared for her. After they passed, she moved to Penacook and was under the care of Community Bridges. She made many good friends throughout the community including members of the Women's Guild, and her good friend Walter Howard whom she met at the Open Door Community Kitchen. Tina's loves included nature, cardinals, iced coffee, Nascar races (especially Jeff Gordon), Mall walking, and Fairs. She had a sense of humor as well as a feisty nature, and became a dear friend to several who relied on her for helping them and companionship. They will miss her lively sense of humor.
