The date of 1771 may be incorrect, as the land deal was given incorrectly as 1773, and Nathaniel does not sign the Association test in Epsom - though he may be serving at the time.

KENNESON, Ruah

8-17-1877
Lowell Daily Citizen
Died in Cambridge the 14th inst., at the house of Prof. William Everett, Miss Ruah Kenneson, aged 78. The Boston Advertiser says "The announcement of the decease of Miss Kenneson will be deeply felt by her own relations and acquaintances, and by all friends of the family of the late Hon. Edward Everett. She was a native of Epsom, NH and entered Mr. Everett's household on September 30, 1827. From that time forward till her death she was the loved, cherished and trusted friend of all who entered the house, old and young, connections and acquaintances." Some relatives of the deceased are of our city. The funeral services are held this afternoon at Mount Auburn chapel.

Massachusetts Deaths and Burials gives birth as Epsom, NH, and parents Father, Albert and mother Clark. This listing as to the name of her father is incorrect. Again, proof is a little scarce, though the Clark maiden name makes this likely, and that Nathaniel and Elizabeth (Clark) Kennison in 1800 was the only family by the name in Epsom, and the 1800 census shows 4 females under 10 in the household. Ruah is an odd name. It appears again in this family, as John, her brother had a son Albert, who named a daughter Ruah Louise (Ruah appears in various spellings).
