ALLENSTOWN, Feb. 8 - Philip Fowler, at 92 to oldest resident of Allenstown, died this morning at Sacred Heart hospital in Manchester.
Born in Epsom, he had lived here for many years with his son Roger W. Fowler at 37 Main street.
Survivors include two sisters, Miss Ida M. Fowler of Pittsfield and Mrs. Florence L. Yeaton of Epsom; three grandsons, Howard P. Fowler of Andover Mass., Everett R. Fowler of Manchester, and Kenneth F. of Allenstown; three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Petit Funeral home Wednesday at 2 o'clock.

EPSOM '96 Mr. Richard Tripp Fowler, 87, a lifelong Epsom resident, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence in Wayland, Mass.

Born on Feb. 20, 1928, Dick was the son of Warren and Gladys (Rose) Fowler. He graduated from Pembroke Academy and served in the Civil Air Patrol while still in high school. He continued his education at UNH, earning both his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees there. He was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR) Fraternity at UNH and stayed active with the alumni until recently.

He began his career farming, then taught school in both Epsom and Chichester, finally working his way up to being the principal of the Chichester School.

Dick loved history and was a member of the Epsom and NH Historical Societies. He was a 4-H leader for over 35 years, served on several town boards, was a volunteer fireman and an educator at PSNH fishways at Amoskeag Falls.

In addition he had a special interest in learning and teaching about the American Indians and the Shakers. He was awarded the name "Great Eagle" by the Sioux and volunteered as a tour guide at the Shaker Village in Canterbury. Over the years, he also found great pleasure in being Santa Claus to many children.

Mr. Fowler was the widower of Joan (Crosbie) Fowler, who died this past November and to whom he had been married 62 years. He was also predeceased by his two sisters, Geraldine Saturley and Margery Yeaton.

He is survived by four daughters and their husbands, Katherine Becker and Robert of Boxborough, Mass., Katrina Fowler of Berlin, Kathleen Griffin and John of Framingham, Mass. and Karen Gunterman and John of Memphis, Tenn.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering to share memories will be held Thursday, Feb. 18th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home, 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom.

Services by Rev. James Young will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 19th, at 11:30 a.m.

Spring burial will be in New Rye Cemetery in Epsom.

Died in Manchester, December 26, Mrs. Sally Robinson, aged 73 years. She was a native of this town. Her remains were brought here Wednesday and laid beside her husband, Levi Robinson, in the cemetery at Short Falls.

Mrs. Sally Robinson who was brought from Manchester last week and buried in the Cemetery at Short Falls was the last surviving member of the later Samuel Fowler's family.
