The funeral service of Henry C. Ames, aged 73 years, son of Charles and Harriet (Hill) Ames, late of Epsom, was conducted Thursday afternoon at the place of residence in Epsom, by Rev. John A. Swetman, pastor of Park Street Baptist church in Pittsfield. Miss Elizabeth Peaslee and Miss Lena Green rendered two vocal selections. There were flowers from the relatives.
Interment was made in the family lot in McClary cemetery, Epsom, by John H. Perkins, undertaker. The bearers were Frank Winslow, Willis Hurd, Howard McIntosh and Roy Sargent. The surviving relatives are a widow, Mrs. Ella Ames and a son, Mayland P. Ames. Out of town relatives who attended the funeral service were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Winslow of Lynn, Mass., Mrs. May Winslow and Mrs. Annie Colby and granddaughter, Ethel Drake.
