General Notes: Husband - Francis R. Cass
Francis is thought to be the son of Levi Cass and Mehitobel Mooers. Research has not proven this out yet. Levi was born January 21, 1774 and died on September 9, 1855 at the age of 81 years old. On November 17, 1796 he married Mehitobel Mooers; she was born ca. 1777 and died October 16, 1822 at the age of 45. Here is a list of their children's names and birth years:

General Notes: Husband - George P. Cass
Special to the Union - Pembroke, March 14 (1939) - George P. Cass, 81, died this morning at his home on Pembroke street after a long illness. He was a former member of the General Court, a former selectman and served on the Pembroke Water Commission for 14 years. Mr. Cass was born in New Rye, a section of Epsom, NH, and had made his home in Pembroke for the past 23 years. He was a member of the Odd Fellows, and the grange. He served the town of Pembroke in the state Legislature in 1921-23. The survivors are his wife, Mrs. Arabell (Chesley) Cass; one daughter, Miss Jennie S. Cass; one sister, Mrs. Etta Davis of Pittsfield. Funeral services will take place Friday, March 17, at the home on Pembrike street with burial in the family lot in the New Rye Cemetery. Friends are invited.

Pembroke - Sept. 19, 1949 - Mrs. Arabella (Chesley) Cass, widow of George P. Cass, died in her home on Pembroke Street, Sunday night. She was born in Epsom, NH, Sept. 15, 1859, a daughter of Jonathan and Abigail (Hoyt) Chesley, and lived there until 1916 when she moved to Prmbroke. Mrs. Cass was a former school teacher. She was a member of Ivy Green Rebekah lodge of Short Falls, and of the Christian Congregational Church in New Rye. Survivors include a daughter, Miss Jennie Cass, who made her home with her mother; a sister, Mrs. Annie C. Denton of Concord; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the home, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in New Rye Cemetery.

NORTHWOOD - Mr. Robert L. "Rocky" Magoon, Sr., 74, a resident of Northwood for more than 50 years, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013.
Born in Lincoln, Rocky was the son of Merlin and Dorothy (Burbank) Magoon.
At 19 he joined the U.S. Air Force and served until 1963. After his discharge, Rocky worked as a truck driver for Agway in Epsom and R. Bailey and Co. in Northwood. He spent 15 years with the State of NH, Department of Transportation, working out of 604 Shed in Northwood until his retirement in 2001.
He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Members of his family include his wife of 34 years, Glennys (Cass) Magoon of Northwood; four children, Robert Magoon, Jr., and wife Tracy of Pittsfield, Leslie Magoon and wife Carol of Penacook, Tammy Merrill and husband Brian of Epsom, and James Magoon and fiancee Denise Boyd of Epsom; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five siblings, John Ingalls and wife Priscilla of North Woodstock, Kenneth Magoon and wife, Mary Lou of Hill, Bliss Magoon and wife Claire of Parsonsfield, Maine, Marcus Magoon of Pittsfield, and Coral Nieder of Concord; and nieces and nephews.
