We find next in the 1880 Federal census and also Indiana marriages that she re-married in 1879 to Robert L. Lloyd. They resided in Franklin Township, Grant Co., Indiana and she was 61 yrs old. On the 1880 census it shows Belinda Murphy her daughter as a Cox and divorced with her are 2 children Alice age 9 and George age 5.
The marriage was a failed marriage for Malinda Pettengill Sanders Murphy Lloyd, the records show him re- marrying and we locate Malinda Pettengill having traveled to the Northwest to be with her children, Belinda Murphy Cox and her 2 children, Alice M. Cox and George Plummer Cox, and another daughter Malissa Jane Murphy Peters (married Jesse L. Peters of Indiana & divorced) and re- married to Thomas Thompson, in Peru, IN. (from Message Boards)
