Neal killed by an Indian with his own broad-axe. Bought land in Nottingham, NH July 10, 1731, bordering land of Nathaniel Joslyn of Scituate, MA, remained there till about 1742, in Exeter 1747 and Brentwood when he died (all NH). Listed in deeds as a weaver.
Neal sells land in Nottingham April 1747 to Nathan Tilton (Rockingham deeds 43-237)
His son John of Brentwood, sells part of his estate in 1754 (Rockingham deeds 42-543) -

"She may well have been the Jane Lucas of Marshfield, MA whose daughter Mary was baptised in the nearby town of Scituate 28 Oct 1726, and the Jane Macklucas who married Andrew Miller (an alias for Neal McGaffey? No other record of an Andrew Miller appears in the area) in Pembroke, MA, Dec. 19, 1727. Pembroke was the town from which Daniel Lucas moved to Nottingham, NH in 1729; and his will named a granddaughter Mary Randall (there were Randalls in the Scituate at the time of the baptism of Jane's daughter Mary).

Moses6 born say 1771, died Vershire, Vt. on 26 January 1851, aged 76, buried at the Village Cemtery [Vermont Vital Records to 1870] He married 22 April 1793 at Vershire, Vt., Susanna LUCAS. She was born about 1773 and died at Vershire on 30 June 1846 aged 73 and is buried with her husband. [Vermont Vital Records to 1870] One ancestry.com message board request (dated 29 October 2006) gives this couple at least one son: James, b. 15 September 1800 in Vershire, Vt., who married Sarah Godfrey. Since other family members seem to have moved to Vershire (or at least Orange Co.), Moses may indeed belong to this family(M Hollick research)
There is a Moses Walch, 74, in the household of Moses Walch (47) and wife Eliza (52), and probably should be listed as WALLACE. Proximity of other Wallace/Godfrey families in Waterbury, VT would support such.
