The 1860 census has Jacob L. living in the household of Josiah and Hannah Dow, along with Esther, a sister to Josiah, in Deerfield.. See notes for Josiah Dow b. 1807.

Rosilla Clough Heath, wrote family genealogy, her daughter married Roland Hall, son of Charles H. and Lucy (Langley) Hall. Lucy daughter of True Langley and Mehitable Dow:
"Mehitable Dow married True Langley, children;
Mary who married a Moore;
Josiah who resided in Epsom;
Lucy who married Charles H. Hall; Betsy C. who married 1st Lemuel Hall, 2nd George Piper.
Jacob Langley who married a Moore 1st and a Brown 2nd."

History of Andover (p 222) gives the parents of Isaiah, born 1770, as James and Charlotte (Emerson) Langley.

Esther Langley's parents are known as James Langley and Esther Shaw (The Libbey Family in America, page 299). Esther married Richard Libbey, born 1784, and assuming she was about the same age, would likely be the last born child of James.

James had a daughter Charlotte and a daughter Esther, perhaps having married twice.

In Rockingham County deeds, some of the land of the Estate are sold by his children, assuming the order of names are the same as the birth of his children. No deeds by James mention any wife or dower rights.

History of Andover (p 222) gives the parents of Isaiah, born 1770, as James and Charlotte (Emerson) Langley. James had a daughter Charlotte and a daughter Esther, perhaps having married twice.
