We hear, from good authority, that Gen. Michael McClary is appointed Marshall for the District of New Hampshire; an office lately filled by Bradbuty Cilley, Esq.
Maj. Cilley is a gentleman of most unexceptional character, and gave universal satisfaction - a warm friend to the American revolution, in which he took an active part. And in this he was supported by all his family and connections, who were noted for their fervency and zeal in the American cause. The gallant actions of his father in the American army are well remembered -- but good reputation, amiable manners, the satisfaction given to our fellow citizens in the official capacity of Maj Cilley availed not - for he had the misfortune of being a FEDERALIST.
