CHARLES TRIPP page 369 Senator from the Sixth District, 1855-56. Was born in Epsom, N. H., Dec. 2, 1812. He came to Ann Arbor in 1843 and engaged in the foundry business. He resided there until his death Jan. 1878. He was Railroad Commissioner under Gov. Bingham. He was always interested in public affairs, was a man of strong conviction. In politics he was a Republican.
