WILL OF ENOCH BROWN JR. - 1824

WILL of Enoch Brown Jr. 1824

In the name of God, Amen.
I Enoch Brown Jur. of Epsom in the County of Merrimack and the State of New Hampshire, being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say -

First, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elinor Brown, a certain tract of land containing twenty five acres more or less which I purchased of Elijah Gove of Epsom; also I give and bequeath unto my wife, all the land on the west side of the road which my father gave me a deed of, with all the appurtenances belonging thereto to be to her use and benefit as long as she remains my widow, and after her decease or marriage, I will that the land last described with the appurtenances belonging thereto to be divided among my children equally, also I give unto my wife three cows and six sheep to be to her use and benefit as long as she remains my widow, and then to be equally divided among my children - also I give to my wife my clock as long as she remains my widow, and then to go to the use of my children - also I give and bequeath unto my wife all the remainder of my household furniture to be for her use and benefit forever. And lastly, I appoint my wife Eleanor Brown sole executrix of this my last will and testament and hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this ninth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four.
