SHORT FALLS. June 18, Rev. Jeptha M. Olmstead was buried in the family lot at the New Rye cemetery at noon, Monday. Mr. Olmstead was formerly the minister at the Baptist church at Suncook, and the New Rye church in Short Falls, and for many years was a local resident. He died at his home in Springfield, Mass., Saturday morning after a long illness.
Mr. Olmstead was the son of the late Nathan Olmstead and Eliza Skinner Olmstead of Harford, Conn., and was 75 years of age at the time of his death. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ada Olmstead; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Olmstead, Beaudet of Hopedale, Mass., and a son James. M.D. Olmstead, a professor of Biology at the University of California at Berkeley.
