Reverend A.E. Toothacre and his wife, Belle. The Pittsfield Historical Society kindly donated a booklet "Twenty-fifth Anniversary Reception" to the Epsom Historical Association in July of 2006. It is a pamphlet from August 5, 1910 commemorating the 25th wedding anniversry of Rev. A.E. and Belle Toothacre. Rev. Toothacre was the pastor of the Epsom Free Baptist Church in 1910, following that of Rev. Ozro Roys who was in Epsom 1909. Augustus Ripley Toothacre was the son of Reuben G and Mercy Ellen (Ripley) Toothacre, and he was born on August 9, 1857 in Glendale, Iowa. He married on Aug. 5, 1885, Belle Smith, daughter of John & Margaret Smith, she was born Nov. 1, 1860 in Columbus City, Indiana. She died Jan 1, 1930, he died in 1937. They are buried in Lockridge Cemetery, Jerrerson County, Iowa. They were in Warwick, RI in 1920 US Census. In 1930, he is a widower in Haskins, Ohio.
